Benny the Butcher – The Plugs I Met
Released: 21 June 2019
The Plugs I Met is Benny‘s follow-up to his highly acclaimed 2018 street album, Tana Talk 3.
At just 7 tracks under 20 minutes, The Plugs I Met is smaller-in-size compared to Tana Talk 3, but doesn’t lack in Benny‘s signature drug talk. However, Griselda fans will notice how much denser Tana Talk 3 was with Benny’s punchlines as compared to this most recent showing. The Plugs I Met feels a bit more lyrically tame than Tana Talk 3, and some of the features such as Black Thought and Jadakiss outshine Benny at times.
Still a very good showing from the Butcher, though!
