One word to describe Kings Disease 2 by Nas and Hit-Boy: COMFORTABLE. Nas’ chemistry and camaraderie with producer Hit-Boy is on full display in the Kings Disease series, as Nas effortlessly writes songs over Hit-Boy beats.
Hit-Boy provides Nas with a unique type of song/consistent that didn’t previously exist en masse in Nas’ discography – good, solid, consistent & easy-listening songs in a discography that is often plagued by being on one-side of either extreme: either amazing (illmatic, Stillmatic) or underwhelming/inconsistent. In short, Hit-Boy provides Nas unique and much needed balance!
