Tyler the Creator Call Me If You Get Lost review:
Tyler, the Creator – Call Me If You Get Lost
Released: 25 June 2021
On Call Me If You Get Lost, Tyler crafts the entire album around a rap style that I grew to strongly dislike on his FLOWER BOY LP – specifically on the songs “Who Dat Boy” and “I Ain’t Got Time”.
The above 2 songs are what I describe as a braggadocio, abrasive, and in-your-face. I typically don’t mind these qualities in rappers, but for some reason I don’t take to it at all when Tyler does it. I consistently skipped them on my listens of FLOWER BOY.
1. SIR BAUDELAIRE ft DJ Drama – 00:30
2. CORSO – 2:12
3. LEMONHEAD ft 42 Dugg – 5:08

5. LUMBERJACK – 11:45
6. HOT WIND BLOWS ft Lil Wayne – 14:43
7. MASSA – 17:46
8. RUNITUP ft Teezo Touchdown – 22:59
9. MANIFESTO ft Domo Genesis – 26:41

14. JUGGERNAUT ft Lil Uzi Vert & Pharrell – 43:06
15. WILSHIRE – 45:33
16. SAFARI – 49:14
FAVORITE SONGS: 54:42
Much to my dismay, Tyler decides to deploy the same characteristics found on “Who Dat Boy” and “I Ain’t Got Time” here, throughout an entire album (along with the loud and abrasive DJ Drama). Double-whammy!
This isn’t a bad album, and I can understand why many Tyler fans would enjoy this album. However, it’s definitely not my cup of tea and I don’t see myself ever revisiting Call Me If You Get Lost in full. Thanks for the tunes though!
