PnB Rock – GTTM: Goin Thru the Motions album review

There are certain parts of this project that almost makes me hate rap music. PNB Rock is like a combination of several different artists but most notably Ty$ with Travis Scott vibes throughout. And much like Ty$, PNB Rock's rapping is lazy and derivative of everything else in the rap ether today - repetitive subject matter, overused flows, and recycled punchlines.

PnB Rock – GTTM: Goin Thru the Motions

Released: 13 January 2017

There are certain parts of this project that almost makes me hate rap music. Throughout GTTM, PNB Rock sounds like a combination of several different artists but most notably Ty$ with Travis Scott vibes throughout. And much like Ty$, PNB Rock’s rapping is lazy and derivative of everything else in the rap ether today – repetitive subject matter, overused flows, and recycled punchlines.

On the intro, “Attention” PNB Rock raps,

“Black diamonds with the white diamonds, yeah we call that shit segregation”

Actually, that would be integration.

I like “There She Go” and the A Boogie features.

VERDICT

Don’t bother. PnB has the talent to drop a heatrock of a project. This isn’t it.
