After blowing up following his Finally Famous Vol 2 and 3 mixtapes, Big Sean was catapulted into the mainstream. However, he never quite got over key musical inconsistencies that plagued his first three mixtapes. Did Big Sean get popular too quickly?
There are certain parts of this project that almost makes me hate rap music. PNB Rock is like a combination of several different artists but most notably Ty$ with Travis Scott vibes throughout. And much like Ty$, PNB Rock’s rapping is lazy and derivative of everything else in the rap ether today – repetitive subject matter, overused flows, and recycled punchlines.
